Following the unprecedented sack of Jose Mourinho last week, the Portuguese was easily the most talked about football manager in the world but probably not in England any more as Pep Guardiola is gradually taking over the media wave.

Arguably the most technically inclined manager, Pep Guardiola has thrown the biggest clubs in the England into a state of foreboding/suspense over his signature as he is yet to make known the decision as to his next destination. But we think he will favor a move to Arsenal over Manchester City.

The Spain born tactician is in the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and he had revealed that he will not be extending his contract with the Allianz Arena outfit. That led to widespread cogitations that his most probable destination would be Chelsea or Manchester City.

Those Manchester City fans expecting the tactician to sign for the aforementioned club might be in for an upset as Guardiola might end up in London but not Chelsea.

It will be recalled earlier in this month that Sportwitness reported that Thierry Henry had posited the Gunners will fancy having Pep Guardiola at Arsenal. Marca also alluded to similar claim, suggesting Arsenal have serious interest in the 44-year-old and it is their dream to replace Wenger with Guardiola.

Wenger has had a glorious career with Arsenal and is in the final two years of his career. Nonetheless, who wouldn’t fantasize about having Guardiola at the helms of their team. With Arsenal looking as front runners for the Premier league title this season, Wenger has been tipped to resign at the end of the season and hand over the managerial baton to Guardiola.

Guardiola is known to favour the tiki-taka style of football and it might take him sometime to get Manchester City players adapt to the style. Hence, Arsenal his most probable destination given the marriage in their ideology. Sky Sports also reported that Guardiola spoke to Wenger about being a Gunner while he was still lacing his boots but Wenger had told him that there was no place for him in team giving the plethora of stars at his disposal as at that time.

Wenger once delineated “Guardiola is a great coach” and the Spaniard might just fulfill his dream of Arsenal against Manche. This will be a massive blow of Manchester City if the suppositions in this report are true.
