An Arsenal target has responded to the reports linking him the club, insisting that he is happy at his current club, but as they say: Talk is cheap
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has debunked rumors linking him to Arsenal. It was earlier reported that the Wenger had sanctioned the move for the player as a result of his impressive performance this season.
Aubameyang has registered 24 goals thus far this season and it is easy to empathise with the Arsenal fans who are clamouring for his signature. However, the 26-year-old has dampened their hopes.
Aubameyang told Kicker :“I am very happy here. Dortmund has become my second home.
“I learnt a lot through the clubs I’ve played for previously [AC Milan, Dijon, Lille, Monaco] both negative and positive. It’s made me a better person.
“Every goal I score feels like the first. It’s a special feeling to play in front of these fans.”
While the reports linking him to the club have been unconfirmed, Dortmund’s antecedent confirms that they would release the player if an irresistible offer is tabled.
At this point, it is safe to dig up Ozil’s comment while at Real Madrid, that will remind us all that talk is indeed cheap.
German magazine kicker, saying, “I’d like to end my career at Real Madrid. I know it will be difficult because I have many more years ahead of me and many younger and good players will also be out there, but I want to be part of that future. I know what I’m capable of, and I’m convinced, I’ll stay at Real Madrid many years.
Well. The rest is history.
