Wenger has revealed that the Mohamed Elneny will be unveiled in coming days.
The 23-year-old’s announcement ought to have been made under normal circumstances but his work permit issues have been the major snag in his way.
With both clubs having agreed on the transfer fee and personal terms thrashed out, the player is set to be declared a Gooner and the manager has confirmed it.
Usually, he is coy over the chances of landing a player, but this time, he is confident that the deal will be announced before the Liverpool game next week.
“It is complicated a little bit but we are working hard on it and hopefully in the next two or three days we will get to the end of it”. Wenger said via the club’s official website.
This is unlike Wenger, he prefers to drag his transfer dealings till the tail end of the deadline day – in fact, he has a track record and this one may prove to be no exception.
Elneny is expected to be thrown into the fray once he arrives at the club since the likes of Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla are still out injured.
